Even Fascists Thought Hitler Was Stupid

I've heard the argument several times that though Hitler was an awful piece of crap, he was very brilliant. The more research I do, however, on Adolf Hitler, the more I find that the man wasn't that talented at anything more than shouting racist stuff in public. For example, a nice little snippet of information you might not of known from Wikipedia:

"Mein Kampf, due to its racist content and the historical effect of Nazism upon Europe during the Second World War and the Holocaust, is considered a highly controversial book. However, criticism has not come solely from direct opponents of Nazism. Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, himself experienced in editing for newspapers, was also critical of the book. Mussolini attempted to read it, but he was disappointed, and claimed that Mein Kampf was, "a boring tome that I have never been able to read," and remarked that Hitler's beliefs, as expressed in the book, were, "little more than commonplace cliches.'"

Thank you Mussolini. How about Mr. Robert Carr, history lecturer at Spelthorne College?
"Mein Kampf certainly exhibits Hitler's arrogance. At school, he wrote, he was doubly gifted, with 'an inborn talent for speaking...[and] obvious talent for drawing.' Moreover, he had 'become a juvenile ringleader who learned well and easily at school.' The truth, however, is that Hitler left school at 16 with no qualifications. Yet perhaps he displays some modesty with the claim that 'every great movement on this earth owes its growth to great speakers and not to great writers.' Without doubt, Hiter is no great writer."

On the same note about Hitler in school, Wikipedia also has something interesting to add. Tell me, what would you do with your school certificate?
"He enrolled at the Realschule in Steyr in 1904, but upon completing his second year, he and his friends went out for a night of celebration and drinking, and an intoxicated Hitler tore his school certificate into four pieces and used it as toilet paper. When someone turned the stained certificate in to the school's director, he "...gave him such a dressing-down that the boy was reduced to shivering jelly. It was probably the most painful and humiliating experience of his life." Hitler was expelled, never to return to school again."

Seems to me that brilliant is not a word to describe Adolf Hitler. If nothing else, Hitler was just a big turkey.
